How Funny is Gina Brillon:

Cabin Fever

  Okay Sandy, You win....

I did all I could to deny that all this hurricane business was serious but after seeing all the damage that Sandy caused in the city, it's clear I was wrong. Sandy ripped through the city like an angry vengeful woman scorned. Destroying homes and reeking havoc on NYC's subway system.

So now I am a prisoner in my own home. Unable to leave except maybe to local places that somehow survived Sandy's wrath. So I kept my sanity for the first day or two threw YouTube videos and horror movie marathons (totally okay since I love horror films but not so cool when the lights start to flicker- if ever there was a good time for a homicidal maniac to strike...a hurricane...oh yeah perfect) finally a word shared with me by a very special someone about creativity being a muscle and needing to be worked out (you know who you are) hit a nerve and I said oh yeah lets get to work so I started making some plans.

I'm really hoping that when all the storm mess is cleaned up and I am relieved from my storm appointed house arrest, I can keep with that mentality. You probably have  the same question I had, Well how can you exercise your creative muscle?  I had the same question so (as always ) I googled it.  There are a few ways is to surround yourself with creative people or things, do things that inspire you like listen to music or free writing; anything to get the juices flowing.

It's funny how much stuff comes out of you when you just let the creative mind flow.  a lot of things have come up in my mind since then and I have a lot more I'm sure. I'm going to do my best to keep creating and moving forward today, hope you guys do the same.
