The importance of Bring Ernest...or whoever you are
Thinking Out Loud
By Gina Brillon
The Importance Of
Being Ernest…
Or Whoever You Are
If you don’t love you, nobody else will, kind of common sense advice but too often people forget that. Do you even know the real you? Does anyone know the real you? Or do you spend so much time hiding who you really are to impress the people you’re around that when the real you shows up those people have no idea who this new person is; when the new person is actually the same old you. Living your life not liking who you are is really, truly, unbelievably lame.
Then again maybe you suck, maybe you’re a terrible heartless person with no friends and a miserable personality, but on the off chance that you’re just a regular human being who fears that people might not like the real you I’d like to offer this piece of advice, grow up! Okay maybe that was a little harsh, what I meant to say was who cares if other people don’t like you the real issue is you not liking you, what’s the deal with that? You need to realize your own awesomeness. Now, you may be sitting there thinking to yourself "but I’m not awesome" well I’m here to help you accept the fact that you are. Everyone in the world has their own type and level of awesomeness you just have to figure yours out and live in it. I love entertaining, I love being the center of attention so where ever I am I make that happen, is it self centered… yes, am I self involved… yes, but doesn’t it make sense for a person’s favorite subject to be themselves? I am, after all, the subject I know most about. Bygones people, what I’m saying is that I learned a long time ago that if you aren’t your favorite thing in the world then every single bad thing anyone has to say to you about you will worm it’s way through your ears into your brain and sit in your subconscious affecting your every move in life. That just sounds gross, I mean who wants to live a double, triple sometimes quadruple life because they are so affected by what people think.
I’ve been on this self love kick lately, I suppose that’s cause I work in a business where the majority of people are so willing to through their hate your way, regardless consider the love you have for yourself as a shield protecting you from all the negativity that might just be thrown your way. You wouldn’t head into a fight without being properly armed would you? Well then put on your armor and let all that negative garbage deflect of your love shield and smack those judgmental losers in their faces, What? Too harsh?
